What they say.
Video and photo in Montreal.
Montreal is North America's great French-speaking metropolis, and a city that speaks both languages effortlessly. For a French company growing there — or a Quebec company looking towards Europe — it is a natural bridge, and a film tells that story well.
The Palais des congrès and the Quartier des spectacles form the heart of events, Old Montreal and the Old Port serve as backdrops for receptions, and districts like Mile End or Griffintown have drawn video games, artificial intelligence and creative studios. Companies communicate in French and English here, often within the same film.
DB Vision travels to Montreal for projects that justify it: a convention, a series of content shot over a few days, the launch of a new office. Everything is prepared remotely beforehand — writing, scouting with your teams on site, a tight schedule to make the stay worthwhile — and travel is written into the quote, no surprises.
DB Vision is based in Strasbourg and works across France and abroad. A project in Montreal starts with a remote conversation — video call or phone — to frame the goal, the audience and the expected content. Then comes the writing, and a scout when the venue justifies it. On the day of the shoot, the crew and the gear arrive together; editing happens at the studio, with remote rounds of approval. Travel is written into the quote, no surprises.
The questions we get asked.
The short answers. The others are on the dedicated page.
How is a shoot in Montreal prepared from France?
The way a distant shoot must be: everything that can be decided before departure is — writing, shot list, scouting through photos and video calls with your teams on site, a day-by-day schedule. On site, we shoot several pieces within the same stay, and editing happens back at the studio.
How do I know what kind of content I need?
You don't need to know before getting in touch. We start by understanding your business, your audience and what you want to improve. We then decide which formats fit best.
What exactly does DB Vision do?
DB Vision is a video & photo agency. Film, photography and art direction are its craft. Motion design and website work extend those three when a project calls for it, not as separate services.
Where do you work?
DB Vision is based in Strasbourg, in the heart of the Grand Est — and that does not stop it going where the work is: to Montreal as anywhere in France, through its network of providers, and internationally on request.
How much does a project cost?
The figure depends on shooting days, crew size, scripting work and the number of delivered formats. It is set in the quote, after a first call.
What is your delivery time?
It is set in the quote and depends on the project: a short format is edited quickly, a film with several speakers and rounds of approval takes longer. No standard turnaround is announced upfront.
